Webinars – How They Work

  • All Webinars
    • Purchasing most webinars is like purchasing a class and a DVD of that class, only it’s on-line.
    • If your webnar is recorded, you will receive access to that webinar after the live presentation (immediately, if the live presentation has already happened).
    • You will continue to have access to that recorded webinar as long as it exists, so please keep track of the access information for the recorded version (you can access a spreadsheet to help you keep track of your webinars here).
    • Occasionally, the access information to an on-demand webinar changes – if this happens and you can’t access your webinar, please contaact sue@raisingcanine.com after attempting the steps outlined below
  • Live Webinars
    • When you purchase a live webinar, within 30 minutes (at the latest – it should happen almost immediately), you should receive
      • an acknowledgement by e-mail
      • a receipt by e-mail (this will not happen if the course is free)
      • access information by e-mail
    • If you do not receive your access information
      • please e-mail sue@raisingcanine.com including the name of the webinar you’ve purchased (please do not send the order ID number, as that is not helpful – I know it’s counter-intuitive, but it’s true!)
      • Be aware that phone calls will not be answered starting about 10 minutes before the beginning of the webinar, so e-mail is the most efficient means of communication
    • If, for some reason, you are not able to attend the live webinar, you will receive access to the recorded version within two weeks of the live webinar.
      • If a webinar is not being recorded, it will say so in the description.
      • Most webinars are recorded, however longer courses such as Understanding Learning Theory may not be
    • If you are unable to attend the live presentation
      • Most of my courses (including this one) are recorded and available after the live presentation; if it is not going to be recorded, that will be stated in the description. Also, if it qualifies for CEUs for the live presentation, it will also qualify on-demand – just make note of the secret words and fill out the form on this website. If you order it when the announcement for the live presentation is sent, you’ll be sent the on-demand link when it’s available; otherwise, just check this website a week or so after the live presentation and it should be available.
  • On-demand Webinars
    • When you purchase an on-demand webinar, within 30 minutes (at the latest – it should happen almost immediately), you should receive
      • an acknowledgement by e-mail
      • a receipt by e-mail (this will not happen if the course is free)
      • access information by e-mail
    • If you do not receive your access information
      • please e-mail sue@raisingcanine.com including the name of the webinar you’ve purchased (please do not send the order ID number, as that is not helpful – I know it’s counter-intuitive, but it’s true!)
  • If you have problems accessing your on-demand webinar, please follow these steps:
    • Make sure both the User ID and Password are exactly the same as in your access e-mail – they are both case-sensitive
    • Copy the URL into the URL field of your browser
    • Copy the Password into the password field (sometimes the password is confusing and complex)
