Virtual Consults

Course Information:
As animal behavior consultants, our daily work can run us into any number of hurdles. One such hurdle is clients giving up too soon because life gets in the way, schedules fill up, money runs out, patience is lost, and so on. Another hurdle is having to turn away pets in need because the owner simply can’t afford in-home or travel fees or maybe is nowhere near you or a good alternative. We lose money, and the pet can lose so much more. Still another hurdle is trying to keep steady income with four feet of snow are on the ground, when we are traveling, or despite that broken arm. Perhaps you want to provide more frequent quick follow-ups, but spending an hour driving isn’t worth a 10min session yet a phone call won’t do. Sometimes, we arrive to a session only to find an animal is too terrified to do anything other than quiver and hide. Yet another hurdle is the struggle to expand services, get your name out there, or build enough business so you can quit your day job. For those behavior consultants who have successfully resolved a variety of behavior cases, virtual services can open the door for many new opportunities. This seminar will address the logistics of offering virtual behavior consolations, in a variety of formats, and with many tips and tricks I’ve gained from my own experience.
