Providing Support for Foster Families

Course Information:

Daphne’s experience with rescues and shelters when it comes to placing adoptable dogs in ‘foster families’ is that these families are left ‘hanging’ with behavior/training support. They may get some financial support for food or medical needs, but not when it comes to behavior/training. This webinar will cover some common behavior concerns that can pop up when a dog is placed into a home such as resource guarding, intra-dog issues as well as how foster families can best ensure that the dog gets adopted sooner than later, with simple implementation of house etiquette, loose leash walking, coming when called, meeting new people and more
