Companion Parrots & Flight

Course Information:

This course is classified as an “Oldie but Goodie.” For more information on Oldies but Goodies, click here.

Pamela Clark leads listeners through a thorough discussion of the choice every parrot owner must make – whether to clip the parrot’s wings or not. She begins her topic with a look at the significance of feathers and flight, then examines each option in depth. She explores the reasons usually given for each choice, as well as the often unanticipated consequences of both clipping flight feathers and allowing flight. Listeners then learn how to go about making the choice for their own parrot, and how to implement each choice in a respectful and responsible manner.
